For lent, the Parkview United Church Women's Group gave up chocolate. However, if they ate chocolate, it would cost them 50 cents. Together, the group raised an incredible $700 and chose to pay for two days of care for one resident room: May 7, the day their church opened its doors; and May 8, when the group meets.
